DVB AALAS recognizes and appreciates our local lab animal science industry members. Without you, life-saving research would go undone! We offer awards and scholarships for our branch members’ achievements to show our support.

Allentown Facility Manager/Supervisor Award

The Allentown Facility Manager/Supervisor award is presented to a facility manager/supervisor to recognize their efforts and achievements in the laboratory animal management field.

ACTS Training and Education Award

The ACTS Training and Education Award is presented to a person whose primary job responsibility involves training and education within the laboratory animal science field and who is dedicated to promoting animal welfare through training and education.

American Protective Products Veterinarian of the Year Award

The American Protective Products Veterinarian of the Year Award, instituted in 2008, is offered for outstanding accomplishment by a veterinarian active in the DVB AALAS community.

Animal Specialties And Provisions Technical Services Award

The Animal Specialties and Provisions Technical Services Award is presented to a person primarily responsible for the day-to-day technical care and handling of laboratory animals or whose responsibilities support the animal facility’s functioning.

Bio-Serv Enhancement or Improvement of Animal Welfare Award

The Bio-Serv Enhancement or Improvement of Animal Welfare Award is presented to a person who has made a positive impact by enriching, enhancing, or improving the lives of animals or the environment in which they work regarding animal welfare.

Dr. Harry Rozmiarek Award

The Dr. Harry Rozmiarek Award promotes technician author involvement in local and national newsletters and encourages technicians to submit abstracts to present at the AALAS National meeting. DVB will sponsor one technician each year to attend the AALAS National meeting.

J.J. Noonan Scholarship Award

The J.J. Noonan Scholarship Award is for students pursuing a laboratory animal science degree at local schools and colleges.

The award is based on merit, achievement and need, and is for furthering the student's education in the laboratory animal science field.

Purina Pro-Lab Award

The Purina Pro-Lab Award is presented to a person primarily responsible for laboratory animals' day-to-day husbandry and demonstrates performance excellence and a positive attitude toward animal welfare.

Source Center Inc. Dr. Robert A. Roosa Regulatory Compliance Award

The Source Center Inc. Dr. Robert A. Roosa Regulatory Compliance Award is offered for outstanding accomplishment in regulatory compliance, supporting the laboratory animal science field (IACUC, PAM, etc.).
